Terms of service

ManaBase, sole proprietorship, CHE-295.232.998 VAT (hereinafter “we” or “ManaBase”), operates the online shop at manabase.ch. These GTC apply to all orders and deliveries.

1. Scope & Contracting Party

The contracting party is ManaBase. By placing an order, you accept these GTC. Deviating terms apply only if confirmed by us in writing.

2. Offer & Product Information

  • Original goods: We sell only new, factory-sealed products from official manufacturers or authorized distributors. No repacked/resealed goods.
  • Product images & details: Images are for illustration (e.g., artwork variants). Decisive are product title, set, language, and quantity. Prices and availability apply until order/shipping confirmation; typographical errors and mistakes excepted.
  • Boosters/Sealed: Contents are random per manufacturer specifications; there is no entitlement to specific cards, rarities, or hits.
  • Card condition (singles): Grading follows common standards (e.g., NM/LP/MP/HP/Damaged). Slight foil curl may occur due to production; if the condition deviates significantly, please contact us immediately.
  • Capacity to contract: By submitting the order you confirm you are authorized to conclude the contract (e.g., of legal age). No active age verification is performed.

3. Prices, Currency & Taxes

All prices in CHF incl. VAT where indicated. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout.

4. Payment

Accepted methods: credit/debit cards, TWINT, bank transfer, Google Pay, Apple Pay (if offered at checkout). Your payment method is charged upon ordering. Discounts/coupons cannot be combined; no cash payout.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping according to our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are non-binding; partial deliveries are permitted where reasonable.

6. Preorders

  • Dispatch on the official release date or once goods arrive at our warehouse.
  • Allocations/manufacturer/distributor shortages may reduce quantities; the affected amount will be refunded promptly.
  • Combined orders with preorders are shipped together unless otherwise agreed.

7. Retention of Title & Transfer of Risk

Goods remain our property until paid in full. Risk passes to you upon handover to Swiss Post; parcels include tracking (see Shipping Policy for details).

8. Duty to Inspect & Defects

  • Please inspect deliveries immediately upon receipt.
  • Transport damage must be reported to the carrier and to us without delay.
  • Manufacturing defects (e.g., printing errors) in sealed products are usually to be claimed with the manufacturer; we’re happy to assist.

9. Returns & Withdrawal

Our Refund Policy applies in addition. Unless stated otherwise there, we accept returns within 14 days of unused/unopened goods in their original packaging. Excluded in particular: opened sealed products, single cards, digital content, and reduced/promo items (if marked as such), except in case of wrong delivery or defect.

10. Warranty

The statutory warranty under Swiss law applies. Excluded are normal wear and damage due to improper handling.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations; in such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typically occurring damage. Mandatory liability remains unaffected.

12. Vouchers & Store Credit

  • Vouchers/store credit are transferable, not redeemable for cash, and valid until the end of the stated validity period.
  • Unless otherwise stated, one voucher can be redeemed per order.

13. Intellectual Property

“Magic: The Gathering” and related logos are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC. We are not directly affiliated with Wizards of the Coast/Hasbro. Product images and texts are for information purposes.

14. Data Protection

Information on the processing of personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to the GTC

We may amend these GTC at any time. The version available at the time of ordering applies.

16. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Place of jurisdiction is Basel-Stadt, unless mandatory consumer jurisdiction provides otherwise.
